Timothy Tenne has over 25 years of transportation operations, safety, quality, regulatory, policy, standardization, and leadership experience throughout aviation, rail, and transit modes. In his current role at Amtrak, Tim leads the standardization and evaluation department, focusing on SMS, QMS, and simulators. In addition, Tim is a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel, commander, pilot where he has led multiple high-profile missions within NATO and the UN. His formal education includes an undergraduate degree from the U.S. Naval Academy in engineering and economics, an MBA in finance, a master’s degree in organizational management, a master’s degree in strategy and joint studies, and a juris doctorate in law.
